We are proud to announce we just had our strongest Black Friday & Cyber Monday ever, with over 100% growth over last year’s revenue in the same period! All in all, our merchants saw about half a million visitors in the week of Black Friday.
Orders came from 6 continents this year, with subscribers and gifters coming to the Marketplace from 26 countries. Here in the United States, Cratejoy merchants received orders from all 50 states – and all inhabited U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands).
So let’s break down that data.
Black Friday By the Numbers
This year, Cratejoy merchants applied for inclusion in our Black Friday flash sale at a rate of 863% over 2017! As a result, our launch of the holiday shopping season was our biggest yet.
In the end, we were able to feature hundreds of more merchants throughout the site on Black Friday this year. Even better? Participating merchants earned 600% more in sales – and 21% higher average order value – year over year compared to last November.
Cyber Monday By the Numbers
Cyber Monday made an even bigger splash than Black Friday in sales. We had so many exciting merchants join the Marketplace in 2018 that our curated flash sale collection grew by 111%!
Conversion rate across the Marketplace shot up 33% since last year. In other words? This means that Cratejoy merchants on the Marketplace earned 188% more in revenue this Cyber Monday weekend.
