Cratejoy Updates: November Edition

November Product Update

It’s November, and that means it’s time for a new set of product updates. There are some major product updates in this update, including some updates from October’s efforts (note: October did not have an official update).

Check out all the major updates below!

1. PayPal

After months of work and lots & lots & lots of seller requests, Paypal is finally now live at Cratejoy! You can now start accepting payments from Paypal for your subscribers. Woot!

Setting up Paypal is super easy. Just log into your seller portal and head to Account > Payment Processor > PayPal.

You’ll then need to enter your business PayPal email and follow the instructions to set up your account, including connecting a bank account. (Learn How to Set Up a PayPal Account or Connect Your Existing Account.)

Keep in mind: PayPal is a unique payment processor and hasitss own set of rules, restrictions and limitations. We highly encourage you to read the following helpful docs on this new feature:

After setting up your account with PayPal, be sure to double-check all other requirements needed to start accepting payments, like connecting your bank account. If you have questions about this, please first review your PayPal Dashboard or email PayPal support.

After you set up your PayPal account through Cratejoy, be sure to click the “Go Back to Cratejoy” button after it says you’re connected. You must click this button!

2. Marketplace Wishlist

The Cratejoy Marketplace is the fastest growing marketplace for subscription boxes, and it provides a unique performance-driven acquisition channel for you as a seller.

Now, it features a Wishlist for subscribers, where they can save boxes they want to get for themselves or share with friends & loved ones as gift ideas. Here’s how it looks:

The Wishlist feature is super simple to use, and all you need to do is have an active Marketplace listing for it to be shown on your listing page!

3. Easily Add Your Facebook Tracking Pixel

Using a Facebook tracking pixel, you can track how well Facebook ads perform in terms of real purchases on your site. If you’re spending money on Facebook ads, you need to do this to know how well your ads are performing.

Setting up that pixel can be confusing. So we’ve made it way easier, with a simple step-by-step guide and straightforward place to paste in your tracking pixel.

4. Promote Your Expected Ship Date

Did you know one of the strongest influencers of churn is when subscribers expect to get their first box? By setting clear expectations, you can keep subscribers in the loop with your normal shipping schedule.

At the Cratejoy Marketplace, we’re helping put this information directly in front of your subscribers.

Now when creating a listing, you can include your expected ship date. We suggest phrasing it simply, like “We ship every month on the 14th” or “We ship on the third Tuesday of every month (14th-23rd).”

When subscribers check out on the Marketplace, they’ll see this critical information on the confirmation page and in their account page:
