Cratejoy Updates: August Edition

August Update

Over the past few weeks, we’ve made some major updates to your Cratejoy dashboard.

Here are some of the biggest updates that came this August (definitely worth a 5-minute read):

1. New Refund Order Flow

Scheduling refunds just became a lot easier — no more second-guessing yourself or worrying that you’re refunding the wrong order.

Here’s how it looks:

And here are some highlights on how it works:

  • You can now refund from the subscription page & pick from a list of subscription orders to refund for that subscriber
  • The dialog box now shows basic information on how long a refund takes to process & shows transaction fees
  • You can also cancel the subscription from the same refund dialog to save time in closing accounts

Questions? See our guide on Processing a Refund.

2. Sort by Deleted Products

This is important. Why? Because existing subscribers live out their subscription duration on your old product until they renew their subscription.

For example, if your subscriber just renewed their 3-month subscription for August, September, and October on the OLD product, their new product type would only go into effect after they renewed in October (for November, December, and January), even if you moved them to the NEW product in September.

In other words: Orders remain open under the OLD product until the subscription renews under the NEW product.

This can create fulfillment obligations of Deleted Products – and they are now marked RED under Product (see below):

Questions? See our helpful guide on Moving Subscribers to New Products.

3. Updating Payment Method with Past Due Payment Will Charge Subscription

In the past, when you updated a payment method for a subscriber, you had to wait until the next renewal to charge the subscription or manually renew the subscription. This process has now been expedited: subscribers are immediately charged for their next shipment when their payment method is updated (by you OR them):

4. Marketplace View Count on Dashboard Now Shows 30-Day Unique Views

This will affect the number of views you see on your dashboard for your Marketplace listing.

It now shows the 30-Day Unique Views instead of total views (see below):
